Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required. A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available in New York, NY, supporting elementary students on the Autism Spectrum within a school setting. This contract position offers the chance to provide specialized therapeutic services designed to enhance the physical development and daily functioning of young learners. Responsibilities: Deliver direct physical therapy services tailored to elementary students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to develop individualized treatment plans. Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapies to meet evolving needs. Support extended school year (ESY) programming from July 6 to August 14. Manage therapy caseload effectively during the maternity leave coverage period from April 24 to June 26. Qualifications: Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in pediatric or school-based therapy. Familiarity with therapeutic techniques appropriate for students on the Autism Spectrum. Strong communication skills for working closely with school staff and families. Ability to develop individualized education program (IEP)-focused interventions. Previous experience in educational settings is preferred. Location: New York, NY This contract position provides full-time hours during both the maternity leave coverage and ESY periods, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the daily lives of children within a supportive school environment.
