Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in East Elmhurst, New
York, 11370! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty:
Med/Surg Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM Hours per
Shift: 11.5 Experience: Minimum two years Med/Surg experience in a
large acute care hospital or post-acute facility, most recent
experience within the past year. License: New York State RN License
with Primary Source Verification Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
(Queens only) Must-Have: - Acute Facilities: Minimum two years
Med/Surg experience in a large acute care hospital setting. - Post
Acute Facilities: Minimum two years Med/Surg experience in either
post-acute facilities or acute care hospital setting. - Physical
assessment. - Medication administration. - Wound care and infection
control. - IV therapy. - Post-operative care. - Patient education.
- Telemetry monitoring. Description: Assessing, planning,
implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation
with healthcare professionals. Evaluating medical information, as
well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to
pre-and post-surgery patients. Preparing, administering, and
recording prescribed medications. Changing dressings, inserting
catheters, and starting IVs. Adjusting specialized medical
equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording
measurements. Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse
reactions to medications in a timely manner. Collaborating on
discharge planning with the healthcare team. Answering questions
and educating patients and their families on surgical procedures
and post-surgery care. Maintaining and updating patient files,
