Job Description:
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) is seeking a dedicated
Clinical Psychologist to join our healthcare team, providing
critical psychological services to the inmate population across
federal institutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring the mental
well-being, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration of inmates
into society, aligning with BOP's commitment to secure and humane
facilities. Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations of
inmates to diagnose mental health conditions. Develop and implement
treatment plans including therapeutic interventions and crisis
intervention services. Provide individual and group therapy
sessions tailored to inmate needs. Collaborate with psychiatrists,
medical doctors, and correctional staff to create comprehensive
treatment strategies. Participate in multidisciplinary team
meetings to discuss treatment plans and progress. Prepare detailed
reports and maintain accurate records in accordance with
professional standards and BOP protocols. Conduct risk assessments
and contribute to parole board evaluations. Engage in continued
education to remain current on best practices in forensic
psychology. Strong understanding of psychological theories and
practices. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle high-stress situations and challenging
environments. Skilled in psychological testing and evaluation.
Expertise in crisis intervention techniques. Medical Insurance

licensure as a Psychologist in the state of practice. Board
Certified in Clinical Psychology by the American Board of
Professional Psychology (ABPP) preferred.
