Join our esteemed medical team in Atlantic City for an exciting locum opportunity to provide vital surgical support and comprehensive patient care across inpatient hospital settings. This role offers an enriching experience working alongside top surgeons and healthcare professionals, making a significant impact on patient outcomes. Required Skills: Certification as a Physician Assistant with valid state licensure. Proven experience in cardiothoracic surgery procedures. Proficiency in vascular tissue retrieval, chest tube placements, and assisting in OR procedures. Competence in rounding, diagnosing, treating illnesses, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests. Strong suturing skills and ability to assist in complex surgeries. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work independently, efficiently handle varied shifts, and manage multiple patient cases. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in ICU or hospital-based settings. Familiarity with Cerner EMR system. Additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) or related specialties. Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or higher. Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiothoracic or general surgery. Experience with inpatient care, ICU rounding, and surgical assisting preferred. Other Requirements: Ability to work varied shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and night calls (6 pm - 6 am). Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities such as rounding on ICU and floor patients, consults, and surgical assistance. Immediate availability preferred; credentialing estimated at 60 days.
