Job Title: BCBA-D Clinical Manager Location: Children's
Specialized Hosp Department: RUCARES - Peds Feeding Dis Req: 46035
Status: Full-Time Shift: Day Pay Range: $83,200.00 - $135,200.00
Annual Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated annual
salary range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The
compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position
will depend on several factors, including the candidate's
educational background, skills and professional experience. Job
Overview: The BCBA D will direct and oversee the assessment and
treatment of patients diagnosed with developmental disabilities,
pediatric feeding disorders, or other behavioral diagnoses and
develop and coordinate research programs. The clinical faculty
member's responsibilities include conducting initial evaluations
and triaging patients to services and maintaining a caseload of
patients, consisting of new patients and follow-up patients.
Administrative responsibilities include maintaining a budget for
the program, hiring and training new employees, developing,
writing, and implementing policies and procedures for the program,
participating in outreach activities in the community, and
developing and maintaining an active research program. Faculty
members will recruit and supervise student research, internship,
and practicum experiences and will provide research and clinical
supervision to professional behavior analysts, graduate students,
interns, and postdoctoral fellows. This position will be focused in
the Intensive Pediatric Feeding Disorders Program. Qualifications:
Required: - Doctorate in psychology or behavior analysis - Licensed
or board-certified as a psychologist or behavior analyst - American
Heart Association BLS Preferred: - Experience supervising work with
children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders in
an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting
Certifications and Licenses Required: - Licensed or board-certified
as a psychologist or behavior analyst - American Heart Association
BLS Scheduling Requirements: - Full Time - 40 hours/week Essential
Functions: - Clinical Supervision and Applied-Behavior-Analytic
Services - Supervise BCBAs and other staff in the coordination and
direction of patient intake and discharge activities - Supervise
BCBAs and other staff in the coordination and direction of
assessment and treatment procedures - Observe assessment and
treatment sessions and develop solutions when progress is
insufficient - Review and provide final approval of session
materials, session descriptions, and progress notes, as appropriate
- Supervise BCBAs in the development and refinement of
skill-acquisition programs - Supervise BCBAs in the development and
refinement of behavior-reduction programs - Meet and collaborate
with parents, school personnel, physicians, and other stakeholders
to obtain input to ensure that programs are meeting the needs of
customers - Provide state-of-the-art clinical and consultative
services - Research - Develop and guide research on the assessment
and treatment of patients with feeding disorders or autism and
related disorders - Publish research articles in peer-reviewed
journals - Procure grant and contract funding for research -
Oversee the development of presentations for local, national, and
international conferences - Administrative - Direct and oversee
compliance issues and responsible conduct of research - Oversee the
interviewing, hiring, and training of staff - Analyze data to
maintain financial solvency - Develop, write, and implement
policies and procedures for the program - May work with patients
who vomit, or who engage in other forms of challenging behavior,
such as aggression, self-injury, elopement, expulsion (spitting out
foods or liquids during treatment), or property destruction
Physical Demands: - Must be able to move, lift, and carry patients
and objects - Moving, lifting, or transferring of patients may
involve independently lifting of up to fifty (50) pounds, as well
as assisting with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds -
Requires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support
over time without fatigue - This position requires frequent
movement, use of limbs, and good manual dexterity, coordination,
and stamina - This position may also require extended periods of
