DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Infection Preventionist Registered Nurse (IPRN) works to
prevent, detect, and control infectious diseases. You will
recommend and implement policies and procedures that support the
Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP). You will also
conduct outbreak investigations, monitor resident health, and
collaborate with facility staff to ensure quality resident care. A
key role is training and monitoring staff for compliance and
advising IPCP best practices.

Certificate of Mastery issued by the National Association of
Directors of Nursing Administration in Long Term Care (NADONALTC)
or possession of an active Certified in Infection Control (CIC)
certification as issued by the Certification Board of Infection
Control and Epidemiology (CBIC)?
