The Blomain Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to conduct
original laboratory research as part of our research program
studying cancer biology and therapy with a special focus on
radiotherapy. The ideal candidate would have extensive laboratory
bench experience (with associated impactful publications) in the
fields of cell biology, cell signaling, and molecular biology in
relevant preclinical models (in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo) of
cancer biology. Additional experience in bioinformatics and
computational biology preferred but not required. Dr. Blomain
himself is a physician scientist in the department of Radiation
Oncology with over a decade of experience in translational cancer
research, clinical medicine, and mentorship. Applicant would be
joining a fully equipped laboratory that is actively involved in
training graduate students and is supported by a full-time staff
computational biologist. The Blomain lab is part of a larger
collaborative work environment with multiple co-investigators (see
"Collaborators" link on lab website) which allows for collaboration
with a diverse set of scientific backgrounds and expertise as well
as ample opportunities for mentorship and career development.
