Psychiatrist - Inpatient Geriatric - Part and Full time Opportunities AvailableAbout Haven Behavioral Hospital of PhiladelphiaHaven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia is a 36 bed acute-care Joint Commission Accredited psychiatric hospital that offers a full continuum of care for older adults dealing with mental health issues. We are dedicated to partnering with individuals, families, and communities to improve the lives of patients through the delivery of high-quality, specialty behavioral health services.Position Summary: Initial psychiatric evaluations Work collaboratively with other disciplines to create individualized treatment plans Develop appropriated medication regiment based on the patient's history and symptoms Working closely with the patient and program staff to help enhance medication adherence through client staff education, one-to-one and/or group interventions with the patient and monitoring the medication procedures in place at the respective programFacilitating patient linkage to community-based Primary Care providersCommunicating and working with other community-based physicians Education: License in the state of PA as a MD or DO, specializing in Psychiatry and GeriatricsBoard Certified or Board Eligible Experience:At least two years' experience working as an MD/DO with mental health adult population in an outpatient setting preferred.Strong background in pharmacology with focus in psychopharmacology and drug interactions.
