Responsibilities
Fairmount Behavioral Health Hospital provides comprehensive behavioral healthcare for adolescents, and adults suffering from mental health and addictive illnesses. Fairmount is a 239 bed, short-term, acute care hospital offering inpatient, partial and intensive outpatient hospitalization, as well as specialized treatment programs for chemical dependency. Fairmount has an excellent reputation as an innovative hospital with caring, dedicated staff, experienced in the delivery of behavioral healthcare. Located in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, on a beautiful 27-acre campus, Fairmount is situated in close proximity to the Wissahickon Valley Park, offering a beautiful, peaceful setting with all the conveniences of the city nearby.
The Registered Dietitian is responsible for assuring quality nutritional care is provided to all patients in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Fairmount Behavioral Health System and the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.

  Qualifications
  Qualifications
  Master's Degree from an ACEND-accredited program in Nutrition & Dietetics required. At least one year of clinical dietitian experience in a health care facility preferred; prior work with a mental health population strongly desired. Maintain current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration as a Registered Dietitian. Licensure as a Dietitian/Nutritionist in Pennsylvania. Knowledge of age-appropriate nutritional assessments and screenings, nutritional counseling and education, menu planning, and food and drug interactions. Performs comprehensive, evidence based nutrition assessments with corresponding nutriton care and follow up per established timeframes. Provides appropriate individual and group education to patients and staff. Participates in menu planning to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
