Leaders in Care is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric
Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.Job Description & Requirements
As a CICU Nurse, you will follow the nursing process to deliver
safe, compassionate, and culturally effective care. You will work
3x12 rotating shifts (day and night rotation) or straight nights
from 7 am-7 pm and 7 pm-7 am.
During your first few weeks in this CICU role, you can expect to
take on some of the following duties:
------- --Gather and recognize/synthesize assessment data to
determine the patient/family care plan, share pertinent data with
the care team, and tasks to be delegated
------- --Recognize and seek resources to recognize clinical
changes indicative of patient deterioration
------- --Collaborate with the patient, family and
multidisciplinary team to coordinate all facets of patient care
------- --Evaluate and document the care provided on each assigned
shift
To apply for this nursing role, you will need a degree from an ACEN
or CCNE-accredited school of nursing or college and at least 12
months of previous RN experience. You will also require the
following:
------- --Prior pediatric experience or prior experience in your
area of specialty
------- --Active membership in a professional nursing
organization
------- --2+ years of pediatric and CICU experience
------- --Basic computer knowledge, an understanding of Microsoft
Office (Word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and Skype) and
the ability to use shared network file space
------- --Basic use of patient-facing technology (IV pumps,
point-of-care devices, CR monitors, etc)
