ResponsibilitiesPer Diem, Rotating shifts position available for experienced critical care nurse.We are looking for a registered nurse with a wide range of critical care experience with strong critical thinking skills that will enable them to function on our Rapid Response Team (RRT). Highly motivated candidates must possess strong communication skills, flexibility, be self-directed and the ability to work independently in a variety of clinical settings. The RRT RN's responsibilities include: responding to RRT activations, pro-active rounding on each non-ICU patient care unit, data collection and performance improvement activities, be a clinical resource to nursing and physician staff and participate in hospital initiatives. Function as the Acute Pain Management Nurse (APMS) at the Jefferson Methodist Hospital.RRT RNs are hired for the hospital system and will rotate between our Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Jefferson Methodist Hospital. Requirements include Day/Night, weekend and holiday rotation.PA RN, BSN, BLS, ACLS and 2 years critical care experience required.Conditions of EmploymentCovid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.Conditions of EmploymentSince this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check.
