Job Description:
For more than 25 years, expectant parents from all 50 states and

Center for Fetal Diagnosis and Treatment at Children's Hospital of
Philadelphia (CHOP). Our team has made amazing breakthroughs in the
highly specialized field of fetal medicine, and we are one of only
a few programs to offer comprehensive prenatal diagnosis, fetal
therapy and the option of delivering at a leading pediatric
hospital in the Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit (SDU). Since
opening in 1995, the Center has helped more than 27,800 expectant
parents and performed over 2,000 surgeries, more than any other
program in the world. Our teams sees rare, complex anomalies every

outcomes and future breakthroughs. The Center for Fetal Diagnosis
and Treatment/Garbose Family Special Delivery Unit at the
Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a board certified
ObGyn Hospitalist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in a
very unique obstetrical care unit. The primary focus of the
Hospitalist will be the clinical care of obstetrical patients in
the Special Delivery Unit over an average of 6 parttime-8 fulltime
shifts per month. Responsibilities will include care for
antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients within one unit.
Additional responsibilities include the perioperative management of
fetal surgical patients. Care coordination occurs in conjunction
with CNMs, NPS, nurses, anesthesiologists, MFMs and various
pediatric surgical subspecialists and neonatologists. Labor and
delivery management includes primary or assistant surgeon in
cesarean, operative vaginal and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.
Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in
providing evidence-based and patient-centered OB/GYN care and in
collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance
the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical
are, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. The successful
candidate must hold and MD or DO degree and be Board Certified in
OB/GYN at the time of hire. A minimum of 5 years post-residency
experience is preferred. Experience in high volume/high-risk
obstetrics is also preferred. To carry out its mission, CHOP is
