ResponsibilitiesPer Diem - Day Shift - No WeekendsPerforms within the legal framework of the nursing profession as defined by the Nurse Practice Act of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tActively engaged in work designed to sustain and maintain Magnet Recognition Program - accreditation (identifying and submitting 'evidence,' active mentorship and participation in Staff Nurse Leader group activities, preparing unit for Magnet Appraiser site visit activities, etc.).\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tExhibits understanding and use of the Professional Practice Models:\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tCare Delivery Model 'Excellence in Caring' Shared Governance Model: Professional Practice Committees Professional Development Model: 'Novice to Expert'\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDecision-making and leadership activities demonstrate ethical behaviors in accordance with TJUH policy and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tDemonstrates consistent adherence to HIPAA guidelines.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tUses the nursing process in providing professional nursing care based on established nursing care standards, policies and procedures.QualificationsPA RN LicenseGraduate of an Accredited Nursing School2-3 years Critical Care experienceProvider in Basic Cardiac Life Support, and advanced Cardiac Life Support as described by TJUH policy.In Mammography Division, Basic Cardiac Life Support required.Maintain certifications as required by the Department of Nursing.Conditions of EmploymentSince this position will require the selected candidate to engage in regular contact with children in the form of care, guidance, supervision or training, you will be required to meet the requirements of the Child Protective Services Act, including the Pennsylvania State Police criminal background check, the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare child abuse criminal background clearance, and an FBI finger print based federal criminal records check. The selected candidate will not be allowed to commence working until all three (3) are completed satisfactorily.Conditions of EmploymentCovid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
