ResponsibilitiesThe professional Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, communities, and populations. The RN is responsible to practice according to the Scope & Standards of Practice to include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation. In addition, the RN is responsible to maintain standards of professional practice including quality of practice, education, professional practice evaluation, collegiality, collaboration, ethics, research, resource utilization and leadership.The RN is responsible to practice according to the Nursing theory of Benner, Primacy of Caring as described in the nursing philosophy.QualificationsPart-Time, 24 Hours Per Week - Day ShiftQualificationsEducation: Nursing graduate from an approved school for registered nurses.Experience: 1. Ability to appropriately and effectively initiate and implement all phases of nursing process.2. Demonstrates current knowledge of nursing practice in areas of clinical responsibility.3. Ability to work and effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and subordinates and otherhealth care members in the provision are patient care.Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:1. Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or Graduate Nurse with Temporary PracticePermit. Maintains current licensure2. BCLS current3. Certification in clinical practice area preferred.4.
