ResponsibilitiesJob Summary: Coordinate the required testing and
follow-up for potential lung transplant candidates, lung transplant
candidates (waitlist management), and lung transplant recipients.
Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements of the United Network
Organ Sharing (UNOS) bylaws, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
Services (CMS), and Joint Commission (JC) regulatory bodies. The
transplant coordinator will share on-call responsibilities for the
lung transplant program, which includes collaborating with Gift of
Life, medical and surgical teams on the inpatient and outpatient
services, all members of the multidisciplinary team and consulting
specialists as indicated. The transplant coordinator will also
support the outpatient transplant clinics, round on in patients,
and coordinate the follow up care of transplant patients in all
phases of the transplant.Qualifications\tMust have a minimum of 3
years' experience with advanced lung/pulmonary and/or lung
transplant patients\tMust have Bachelors of Science in
Nursing\tMust have previous critical care experience \tCCTC
certification within 2 years of becoming eligible to sit for the
exam\tStrong communications and writing skills\tProficiency with
