The Physical Therapist will also maintain a positive working relationship with other health professionals and ancillary staff. -Job Responsibilities:Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes, and consults with other specialists/physiciansReviews patients' functional needs and adjusts care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Designs and implements a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential developmentConducts therapy practice within defined standards of care.Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals.Communicates effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes.Practices departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.Documents evaluations, treatment goals, and plans. Regularly updates documentation.Enhances professional growth and development of self and others through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops. Keeps up to date on professional literature.Acts as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community.Prepares and maintains equipmentReplenishes and changes supplies in assigned area as neededOther duties as assigned. - -Job Skills RequiredMust hold a valid state license to practice physical therapy.Great verbal and written communication skills.Possess the ability to make independent decision and problem solve as appropriate.Must have a thorough knowledge of third party billing.Possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, patients, visitors, family members, physicians, and the publicGeneral knowledge of various EHR systems, computer programs and applicationsOperating office equipmentExperienced in handling paperwork/scanning/uploading adequatelyEducation/Experience:Graduate of an approved physical therapy program. At least two years of experience as a physical therapist (preferred)Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
