Advanced Practice Position in Philadelphia, PA - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Surgery-General opening in , Pennsylvania.
OnCall Staffing is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistance with surgical experience to join the team in Philadelphia, PA. We are looking for someone will full time availability to start as soon as credentialed for three months while someone is out on maternity leave.
DATES: 7/25 - 11/28
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, no weekend and no holiday coverage7:00-3:30 M-F. (can be adjusted slightly. The 2 providers stagger their start and end times each day). No weekends or holidays.
COMPENSATION: To be discussed at time of interview
Job DetailsRounding on surgery patients and providing pre, peri and post op-services.Collaborating with fellows and attending surgeons across multiple surgical subspecialties. Strong communication skills required.Providing attentive detail to the ongoing and changing needs of the complex surgical adult patient.Ordering and collecting data, and using appropriate assessment techniques to update patient's plan of care as necessary.Caring for a complex adult surgical population including but not limited to general & bariatric, colorectal, breast, vascular, gynecology oncology, thoracic, and neurosciences.First assist responsibilities in the operating room.Independently performing bedside procedures, including, but not limited to, central line, arterial line and midline catheter insertion, NG feeding tube insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation and bronchoscopy.Aiding in adhering to best practices and helping to provide for the smooth transition of patients throughout their pre, peri and post op course of stay.Educating patients and families throughout hospital stay and discharging in a timely manner.Assisting with data collection, research projects and quality improvement measures.RequirementsNP Certified with RNFA certificationORNCCPA CertifiedACTIVE PA LICENSEPENNSYLVANIA STATE DEA1-2 weeks per month, ongoing (option for full time availability)1-2 Years Of Experience
