  • Hours: Midnight to 8am (16 hours) Friday and Saturday, Weekend 3rd Shift The Mental Health Technician reports directly to the Milieu Supervisor and is an individual who has experience in helping to empower women who have been diagnosed with addiction and mental health disorders maintain their recovery. The primary duties of this position is to ensure the safety of the clients and program by providing regular rounds to ensure all women are sleeping and in their bedrooms; monitor security cameras and help prepare breakfast for the participants. Responsibilities:
    • Perform house rounds to ensure health and safety of the program and participants (flashlight needed to ensure all participants are in their beds)
    • Provide social and emotional support
    • Obtain report from previous shift supervisor
    • Check e-mail
    • Record all temperatures of freezers and refrigerator and report any temperatures that do not meet health and safety standards
    • Make sure knife box contains four (4) knives and document that it was checked.
    • Check all doors and locks to make sure secure and locked
    • Check basement area after all clients are in bed and ensure doors are locked and close off basement door via latch (rounds in basement do not have to occur after area has been checked and secured but must be monitored via camera)
    • Set burglar alarm immediately after doors and locks secured (must occur by 1AM)
    • Monitor cameras to ensure safety and clients in own bedrooms
    • Provide written report on activities on shift
    • Prepare Breakfast for the Participant's
    • Light cleaning in Medication station and Copy room
    • Assist with medication when needed
    • Prepare cups for Urine Drug Analysis
    • Conduct Pre-filing when needed
    • Ensure all participants are awake by 9am Skills:
      • CPR & First Aid Certified
      • Ability to identify potential problems and recommend solutions
      • Ability to set boundaries and limitations
      • Ability to work independently
      • Dependable, punctual, and reliable
      • Awareness of the needs of women from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds
      • Ability to provide an emotionally safe environment and create a sense of community cohesiveness Experience:
        • Minimum one year of experience in a substance use program Education Requirement:
          • Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in a related field preferred.
          • Valid Driver's License required Salary:
            • Commensurate with education and experience Days & Hours per week:
              • Friday and Saturday, 12 am to 8am FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
                • This position is classified as salaried non-exempt in accordance to FLSA standards.
