Assistant Health Services Administrator - Registered Nurse

Below is a list of your responsibilities as an Assistant Health Services Administrator RN at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility located in Philadelphia, PA:

* Secure and Maintain NCCHC Accreditation at a time specified by the RVP for the respective PDP Facility. Ensure site compliance with PDP and Corizon policies and procedures. * Direct supervision of site and oversees the day-to-day operational requirements at the site. * Prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly-reporting requirements:

* Payroll (biweekly) * Labor distribution sheets (biweekly) * Staffing matrix (monitoring and curtailing OT hours) * Management indicators (monthly) * CQI program and screens (as required) * Union matters * Specialty services reports * Off site utilization reports * Recruitment and retention of staff, including staff development. * Maintains contracted staffing at site at all times. * Client Services. * Prepares CAPs (Corrective Action Plans) with clear timelines for completion for all audit findings at site: Quarterly Law Department review, Contract Monitors Office, Office of Policy and Audit Division, etc. * Coordinates the total health care delivery system at the facility. * Prepares, analyzes, and manages the operational/contractual performance of the facility. * Reports monthly, at a minimum, to the Regional Office: * Progress on action plans and operational status * Staffing (recruitment and retention) * Management Indicators * NCCHC (readiness, maintenance, status and any violation-breech of standard) * Union issues (grievances, etc.) * Site-Specific needs * Opportunities for new business * Vacancy report/backlog reports * Monthly CQI screens

* Conducts monthly staff meetings (maintains minutes), which includes all personnel line. * Counsels and disciplines employees as warranted by breach of Corizon or PDP policies and procedures, and/or professional misconduct. * Supervises and evaluates work performance of staff members reporting directly to him/her, providing on-going positive and negative feedback. Completes their yearly written evaluation. * Coordinates Human Resources Management with the corporate office and on-site administrate staff. Works to resolve all union-related matters for the site. * Develops, implements, and maintains policies and procedures for the site to ensure efficient workflow. * Exercises discretion and independent judgment in decision-making process, planning, directing, conserving, and controlling the management of the Region. * Attends meetings, Regional and Corporate, as required. * Coordinates the Annual Health Services planning process for the site. * Upholds all rules and regulations governing patient confidentiality. * Performs other related duties as assigned by the Regional Director. * Accepts on-call cell phone responsibilities. * Fills in clinically as needs arises at the site.

* Active PA RN license. * Associate in Nursing; Bachelors degree in business, health care administration, public administration, or equivalent academic background. * Minimum of three (3) years of administrative/supervisory experience in a health care setting, including a managed care organization. * Experience in short-term and long-term planning, budgeting, and contracting. * Minimum of three (3) years of correctional health care experience. * Must receive and maintain satisfactory background investigation report and maintain security clearance. * Must maintain a current CPR certification. * Completed 12 CEUs per year. * Required to exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. * Required to kneel, stoop, crouch and/or crawl occasionally. * Occasionally walking throughout site; to include walking up and down flights of stairs. * Must be able to perform repetitive tasks using arms, hands, and wrists. * Long periods sitting, typing and reading from a computer screen may be required.

A background check, security clearance and drug screening are required for this role.
