We serve customers in spanning defense, aerospace, security,medical, and industrial markets.We are seeking a talented Director of Contracts to join our growingteam.Key Responsibilities:Provides excellent business partnering to Business AreaVP/General Manager on contractual matters and transfersconfidence to other members of Contracts, Compliance and Legalwhere necessary on shared services and compliance and legalmatters.Participates as an active member of the Business Area's seniormanagement team.Performs and/or oversees "cradle to grave" contract managementactivities, including providing sound advice on proposalpreparation and contract risk mitigation.Negotiates and administers contracts and related auxiliaryagreements and guides and directs contracts professionals, whereapplicable, on such activities.Supports supply chain/procurement activities, includingnegotiations with strategic suppliers, and guides and directsthe activities of contracts professionals, where applicable, onsuch activities.Represents the Company independently or as team leader oncomplex, high-risk and/or large-scale customer and supply chaintransactions.Conducts contract strategy meetings to identify issues andcustomer requirements and obtains management input on timelines,cost targets, and deliverables.Prepares and presents analyses of completed bid/proposalpackages, including recommendations to management fornegotiation strategies.Advises management of contractual rights and obligations andrecommendations to mitigate contractual/program risks.Fosters and maintains a sound and reliable relationship withcounterparts in internal and external customer organizations.Trains Business Area cross functional staff on contract issuesto raise contracting awareness, as needed.Manages performance of and provides career developmentopportunities for Contracts staff to meet Business Area andfunctional objectives.Develops Business Area Contracts functional budget and managesfunction to budget.As a member of the CAES Contracts team and broader FCCL team,develops, communicates and implements the functional strategyand deliverables.Lead special projects or improvement initiatives as designatedby senior leaders within FCCL.Performs other duties and responsibilities related tocontracting, as required.Responsible for the supervision of direct reports at theapplicable Business Area and, in some circumstances, directreports in geographically dispersed locations.Qualifications and Experience:Established track record of successful "cradle to grave"contracts management, including advising on complex proposals,negotiating terms, and managing contract changes.Demonstrated ability to achieve positive results throughinfluence, negotiation and change management.Leadership ability to motivate and inspire teams to perform ata high level; demonstrated commitment to accountability andtrust.Proven ability to develop sound relationships at the executivelevel in internal and external customer organizations.Demonstrated success working in and leading people in amatrixed organization.Effective communicator both orally and in writing.Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical,reasoning, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage time and competing priorities, includinghandling several assignments concurrently.Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and documentationdatabasesStrong understanding of contract terms and conditions, FAR,DFARS, and risk mitigation strategies.At least eight (8) to twelve (12) years' experience ingovernment and commercial contracting.Where applicable, familiarity with non-U.S. laws andregulations for sites located outside the U.S.Desired Qualifications:Advanced degree and/or additional contracts managementexperienceExperience in the aerospace and defense industryEducational Requirements:Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.Security:All applicants must be a U.S Citizen or U.S Person as defined byITAR (a lawful permanent resident or someone who is a protectedindividual as defined by 8 U.S.C.1324b(a)(3)).
