The team is focused on driving productivity and promoting risk mitigation while developing and implementing category strategies. Other initiatives include supporting sustainability and innovation agendas.The Senior Sourcing Manager - Indirect Operations leads the North American spend for Indirect Operations by providing sourcing expertise and support for Indirect Operations categories for business units across the US and Canada.
A key deliverable is working with key stakeholders to ensure suppliers provide the best price, quality, and service to Grupo Bimbo.
This is a fast-paced, detailed orientated, position in which the procurement individual will work with internal stakeholders across North America to strategically manage Operations categories to create and implement strategic sourcing strategies and drive productivity and efficiency.
You will provide procurement leadership, support, and expertise in the areas of supplier negotiations and contract development for North America, as well as being an effective people leader and coach for a buyer in this area.
In addition to supporting functional initiatives from a procurement perspective, you will also act as project-leader for cost-savings initiatives on behalf of the organizations, targeting annual cost reduction. Key Job Responsibilities:Strategic and people leadership of Indirect Operations sourcing team; strong ability to coach others.Develop and drive robust category management strategies resulting in tangible benefits to the bottom line and improved risk mitigation.
Align closely with stakeholders within Operations and Facilities.
Build strategies by deeply understanding indirect spend categories, analyzing user needs, and identifying potential new supply sources.Running transparent tenders, developing multiple diverse sourcing options, and constructing clear business proposals. Strong ability to turn data into insights and actions.
Developing and implementing negotiation strategies.
Negotiating purchase agreements with vendors that meet the needs of the business from a commercial and risk management perspective.Providing strong leadership on assigned categories.
Understand and communicate financial impacts.
Strong communication skills.
Manage vendor relationships and appraise vendor performance.
Partnering with Global Procurement on implementing global strategies to achieve synergies and cost-reduction opportunities.Meeting annual cost reduction targets in assigned categories.
Identify and monitor cost savings initiatives that are contingent on key stakeholder's participation. Coordinate activities and reporting to keep projects on task.Partner with key cross functional partners and suppliers to achieve sustainable packaging roadmap and bring key innovation to the business.Resolve quality and supply issues working closely with Food Safety & Operations.Liaison with Accounts Payable Group for resolution of escalated payment issues, supplier invoice process through auditing, analysis, and approval.Involvement in preparing and presenting business review presentations.Provide businesses with budget projections.Performs special projects as assigned.#LI-TN1 Position Requirements:PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:Bacherlor's degree with a minimum of 7-10 years of procurement work experience, in a fast-paced organizationMust possess excellent analytical, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Team player capable of dealing with many internal and external stakeholders at various levels. A highly energetic individual, that can multi-task and prioritize projects based on immediate business need.
Experience in project management dealing with tight timelines.Proven leadership and change management experienceStrong negotiation and contracting skillsProven ability to implement procurement processes and coordinate across multiple sites.Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications, and presentation skills.Track record of building strong peer and stakeholder relationshipsHigh proficiency in MS Office suite (excel, PowerPoint, word).
Knowledge and experience with Oracle is beneficial.Able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%. Spanish language skills preferred.
