In addition to competitive pay and benefits, we provide a safe and inclusive work environment that appreciates diversity, promotes development and allows our associates to be their authentic selves.#LI-MI1Position Summary: The Quality Systems Manager is responsible for managing the Regional Quality Centers, Customer Requests, and Preserved Identity Certifications such as Kosher, Non-GMO, Organic, Plant-Based, etc. This position performs product and ingredient trending analysis and creates QFS reporting for the Organization,It is responsible for executing the strategy outlined for the area and support in any QFS-related project to the Director of Quality Systems.Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice capacity planning vision, strategy, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational and quality performance.Key Job Responsibilities:General and Task Management
Manage and improves current processes in place
Work with the Quality team to achieve set goals and provide work direction and guidance to staff (Corporate and RQCs) to assure completion of assigned projects, tasks and other duties.
Manage RQC, product testing and coordinate special projects
Prepare reports to keep track of the RQC operations, the quality of finished product and ingredients, as well as corrective action plans and project, follow up
Perform Unannounced audits for all RQCs
Evaluate and propose the use of new technology to improve quality.
Monitor and work on cost savings in the department.
Ensure generated metrics are reported in a timely matter and oversee all quality food safety reports.
Communicate findings to the appropriate instances in BBU and request (or support to build if necessary) corrective action plans to eliminate deviations and improve BBU quality.
Consolidate, review, analyze the information, and identify valuable insights considering a wide business perspective using other information sources (plants scoring reports, TraceGains, WinSPC, third-party analysis, BBU specifications database, technical bibliography, etc.) and report to top management on a scheduled basis.
Support for Superior Quality Always initiative, acting as main contact for product standard development per visual aids
Report and track quality metrics, including 60/40 Consumer Testing, Product Specification, and Codebooks.
Support for Windows Statistical Process Control and the Finished Product Scoring Tool.
Manage Non-GMO and organic programs and audits are in compliance and covered. Involved in troubleshooting if any non-compliance/deviations noted
Ensure all customers' requests are fulfilled in a timely matter.
Create and promote an active Quality Mindset, "Create the Culture".
Assist in special projects that may arise for quality.
Support of bakeries and co-manufacturers in continuous improvement of quality/food safety systems
Conduct and /or attend staff management meetings People Management
Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within the area of accountability
Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing Quality System team that meets agreed objectives, and delivers best practice results, added value, and continuous improvements
Manage and lead the team.
Monitor the completion of tasks and ensure good performance and record on appropriate systems
Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware

Leadership skills and good communicator (verbal and written)Education and Work History:
BS degree, preferably Food Science or related major. MBA is a plus.
Seven (7) years minimum experience in the food industry, with five (3-5) years in Food Safety, Sanitation Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Total Quality, and/or Food Industry Lab Analysis, Formula Management, and process controls.
Bakery operations management experience a plus.
HACCP & GFSI (SQF, BRC, IFS, etc.) Certified
FDA - PCQI:
Preventive Controls Qualified Individual
Familiarity with federal and state regulations, 6 sigma, ISO, AIB, and GFSI Standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Experience in finished product evaluation, analytical testing, business leadership and management, and project management.
Medium to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Outlook.
