that's leading the way.Position Summary:As the world shifts away
from fossil fuels to renewable energy, the demand for critical
minerals that will power the energy transition is set to soar. At
the heart of this, lithium plays a significant role in the
production of lithium-ion batteries used in energy storage and
transportation. Lithium demand is expected to increase by 6-8X by
2030, an unprecedented growth rate rarely witnessed in other
natural resources.Rapid expansion in a dynamic market brings new
challenges and opportunities for our growing business. The Strategy
Manager will work across our industry to identify growth
opportunities through mineral resource acquisitions and expansion
of chemicals refining capacity in existing or new markets as well
as monitoring developments in battery technology, recycling and
sustainability. The successful candidate in this role will be a
critical thinker who is willing to challenge the status quo and
think outside the box; a strong communicator; demonstrate a track
record of execution and is passionate about the energy transition.
The Strategy Manager will support key projects surrounding asset
diversification, opportunities to increase and diversify revenue,
therefore you will be working closely and presenting regularly to
members of senior management.This search is open to candidates
located along the east coast of the United States (candidates in
Philadelphia, PA are highly desirable). Candidates located in
Quebec, Canada are also strongly encouraged to apply.Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:--- Assess market trends and
competitive landscape, anticipate emerging opportunities and
potential threats--- Formulate & communicate business strategies
and support M&A transactions while weighing up benefits, risks
and trade-offs that impact the company.--- Execute business
strategies from conception, planning all the way to
implementation--- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty
and deliver relevant business insights in an increasingly complex
and ever-evolving battery supply chain. Ability to manage multiple
projects concurrently, work independently and meet deadlines.---
Assist with drafting business plans, presentations, operating
models and other documents to senior leadership to guide
decision-making.--- Cultivate strong relationships with strategic
partners across the battery value chain (e.g. automotive
companies).--- Willing to familiarize yourself with the company's
vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and
objectives.--- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the
ability to communicate effectively with various levels of
management, staff, and customers.--- Work closely with staff across
operations, R&D, finance, and commercial teams, to assess
growth opportunities / avenues.Education and Experience---
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, business analytics,
business administration, management or similar. MBA preferred.---
Minimum 3 years' experience in management consulting, investment
banking, corporate strategy, corporate development, business
development or similar experience where transferable skills are
observable.--- Knowledge of lithium, EV or similar industry trends
and market behavior desired.--- Excellent project management skills
with a strong drive for results and execution.--- Excellent written
and verbal communication skills.--- Ability to handle multiple
projects simultaneously and independently.--- Fluency in French
(written and verbal) is a plus.Travel Required: Ability to travel
(domestic and international) up to 30%.Knowledge and Skill
