-CGRC's Extended School Year (ESY) Program is a summer program for approximately 5 to 6 weeks. -The ESY program is a structured environment providing social skill interventions for children with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. -The Extended School Year is a safe environment where students can learn and practice positive social skills. -If you're looking for a summer opportunity to have a rewarding experience with a direct impact on positive growth and development, share and expand your competencies, apply your knowledge in advancing students, directing and leading a dynamic and energetic team of group counselors, ESY is for you! -Great resume builder opportunity!!Some responsibilities include:

• Direct, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of program related services to the ESY team and students during ESY.
• Provide expertise and leadership in maintaining innovative and effective delivery of program services.
• Verify current and ongoing clinical competence of program team. -Ensure team training is provided when needed.
• Available to Intervene and provide immediate assistance in crisis situation.
• Oversee all policies and procedures related to the provision of program services.Perform duties of program team as needed including: -
  • Provide age-appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities within the ESY program.
  • Encourage positive peer social interactions throughout all activities. -
  • Introduce and practice social decision making/social problem solving concepts with students.
  • Provide students opportunity for leadership and various roles within each activity and group. -
  • Model appropriate social interactions and decision making skills for students. -
