Position Summary: This position is responsible to build, develop
and maintain QFS capabilities in the following areas: Distribution
(Sales Centers, DC's), , Raw Materials/Suppliers, GB foreign
facilities/Imports, BBU corporate support functions-training,
policy (development & update) and special projects to achieve the
highest levels of food safety and quality on a sustainable basis.

Policy Requirements

audit/critical issues/reporting requirements
--- - - - - - - Assist SC's/DC's with maintenance and repairs
--- - - - - - - Provide guidance for regulatory inspections and
inspection report responses
--- - - - - - - Raw Material Suppliers (Supply Chain Program):
--- - - - - - - Manage Supplier Approval Process
--- - - - - - - Follows up on supplier CAR's as needed
--- - - - - - - Oversees: - - Review and approval of ingredient
specs - - Maintenance of supplier approvals - - Tracking and
reporting of supplier performance - - Master Ingredient Hazard
Analysis file - - Food Fraud Review - - Reporting capabilities in
TraceGains; Out of Spec notifications, COA charting
capabilities
--- - - - - - - Coordinates the Supplier Quality Council
--- - - - - - - Drives Enhancements in TraceGains
--- - - - - - - Develops systems and reports to monitor supplier
quality & food safety KPI's and drive improvements.
--- - - - - - - Participates in investigations to determine and
address root causes during supplier special situations, quality
failures, regulatory inspections, vendor (ingredient & packaging)
related incidents, etc. to assure proper investigation, root cause
analysis and resolution.
--- - - - - - - BBU FSVP support:
--- - - - - - - Maintains all documentation and requirements for
FSVP
--- - - - - - - Works with BBU & GB Import group to determine
manufacturing facilities and establish specific accountabilities
and requirements for applicable GB foreign facilities.
--- - - - - - - Monitors required documents annually to assure
compliance with FDA's FSVP regulation.
--- - - - - - - Works with applicable GB FSVP Import facilities for
approval to ship to the U.S.
--- - - - - - - BBU Corporate Support-Training:
--- - - - - - - Develops annual PQFSM training schedule
--- - - - - - - Oversees QFS section of Click & Learn
--- - - - - - - Develops and conducts training sessions
--- - - - - - - BBU Corporate Support-Special Projects:
--- - - - - - - Oversees and participates as needed with QFS
assigned special projects
--- - - - - - - BBU Corporate Support-Policies/Misc:
--- - - - - - - Actively involved in the QFS policy reviews
--- - - - - - - Lead strategic projects
--- - - - - - - Partner with the other are leads in QFS for special
assignments
--- - - - - - - Provide guidance, coaching and direction during
quality failures, regulatory inspections, food safety incidents
etc. to assure proper investigation, root cause analysis and
resolution.
--- - - - - - - Promotes and supports the use of quality tools such
as SPC, Kaizen, 5-S, Problem Solving, etc.
--- - - - - - - Oversees programs to reduce or eliminate consumer
complaints (Quality and Food Safety).
--- - - - - - - Promotes sharing of Quality and Food Safety Best
Practices across the bakeries.
--- - - - - - - Performs and/or coordinates analysis of process
capability.
--- - - - - - - Provides coaching, direction, support during
quality improvement projects.
--- - - - - - - Acts as an interface between sales/marketing and
plants to identify and resolve quality issues.
--- - - - - - - Follows up on corrective action plans (BBU,
customer complaints, consumer complaints and quality trends).
--- - - - - - - Assists BBU manufacturing management teams and
bakeries in identifying and resolving quality issues.
--- - - - - - - Is aware of current food safety and quality issues
through finished product scoring, bakery data and consumer
complaints. -
--- - - - - - - Travel: 75%. Occasional weekend travel may be
necessary.
