IT Asset Management & CMDB Lead

This is a unique role combining asset management and configuration management database responsibilities. The IT Asset Management & CMDB Lead will drive the design and implementation of an IT asset management program and ServiceNow's CMDB. The IT Asset Management & CMDB Lead is a key enabler for enabling operational visibility, control, and performance improvement across Catalent.
Location: Remote (must be within 50 mile radius of a US Catalent site)
The Role:

• 
  
• 
  Design and execute asset management policies, procedures, and processes
  
  
• 
  Use the asset management tools to analyze, review and track asset data
  
  
• 
  Develop asset control processes to monitor accountability identification, maintenance, location and contracts
  
  
• 
  Manage asset reconciliation, vendor agreements and asset disposal agreements
  
  
• 
  Monitor software licenses to ensure they comply with license agreements and usage standards
  
  
• 
  Administer, lead, and carry out all aspects of configuration management processes to ensure the accuracy of the CMDB; identify and rationalize various data sources populating the CMDB
  
  
• 
  Identify important metric targets, establish baselines, help drive results improvements, measure, and report results
  
  
• 
  Interface with ServiceNow platform team to drive end-to-end technical excellence with the goal of eliminating manual processes and simplifying workflows for complex procedures
  
  
• 
  5% travel expectations
  
  
•

  The Candidate:
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study preferred
    
    
  • 
    In lieu of a degree 6+ years equivalent experience
    
    
  • 
    At least 3 years hands-on experience building and maintaining a multi-source configuration management database (CMDB) within a large organization, preferably within ServiceNow
    
    
  • 
    Expert-level understanding of ServiceNow reporting and dashboards
    
    
  • 
    Experience with asset management (hardware & software)
    
    
  • 
    Experience working in a managed service provider environment
    
    
  • 
    Experience meeting CIS control framework for asset management
    
    
  • 
    Experienced developing and administering a hardware and software lifecycle management program within a large organization
    
    
  • 
    Extensive understanding of APIs and databases
