Position type: Full-timeLocation: Wilmington, DE, Philadelphia or Berwyn, PA -Schedule: Monday - FridayHybrid/Onsite -Description:The Director of Loan Syndications is responsible for originating, pricing, structuring, and distributing multi-bank C&I and CRE credit facilities for WSFS's Commercial Division, acting as the primary syndication professional for all assigned clients and prospects. The Syndications unit is housed in the Commercial Division within Middle Market, Syndications & Capital Markets. Prospective transactions would typically involve complex financial situations for Middle Market clients to finance working capital, capital projects, mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations, or Commercial Real Estate (CRE) clients to finance construction, mini-perm or permanent financing for commercial real estate projects (e.g., multi-family, warehouse, office, residential subdivisions).Responsibilities:

• Drive and oversee the preparation of customized proposals, pitches, and presentations to clients.
• Manage the sales process for all assigned credit facilities in syndication, coordinating with the Relationship Manager (RM), Portfolio Manager (PM), Credit Officer and Manager of Middle Market, Syndications & Capital Markets to answer all due diligence inquiries regarding assigned syndicated loans.
• Negotiate credit documentation with the company/sponsor and syndicate members.
• Establish and maintain relationships with primary and secondary loan market investors, primarily banks, and thoroughly understand their appetites.
• Execute secondary buys/sells as directed.
• Develop/enhance policies & procedures for the syndications function and ensure all activities are conducted are in compliance therewith, as well as with applicable governing regulations.Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. Advanced/graduate degree preferred.
  • Must have 5-7 years of total work experience with a particular focus in institutional lending, syndications, capital markets.
  • Must have prior experience in sales and credit analysis preferred.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be comfortable presenting to Executive Management, Senior Loan Committee and Executive & Risk Committee, and other committees.
  • Must be able to maintain active dialogue with fellow Commercial Division associates such as RMs, PMs, Credit Analysts, Credit Administrators, Portfolio Administrators, Commercial Loan Operations, and other functional areas within the Bank such as Human Resources, Accounting & Finance, Compliance & Audit, and Technology.
  • Ability to interact with primary and secondary loan market investors, primarily banks, as well as C&I and CRE clients.
