Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link Description: - The Associate Director, Global Direct Tax is responsible for supporting the Global Direct tax function. The Associate Director, Tax will be in charge of the daily functions in the tax department ensuring compliance and accuracy of all tax filings and consolidated reporting. - This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director, Global Direct Tax Compliance and is based in our Wayne, PA location. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the preparation of the Global Current and Deferred tax calculation and review of the quarterly U.S. and International tax provisions, including consolidated valuation allowance and uncertain tax positions
• Responsible for the preparation of the Quarterly and Annual analysis and disclosures for GAAP financial statements and SEC filings, including calculating the effective tax rate
• Responsible for the review of the global tax reconciliations in adherence with corporate policies and procedures
• Responsible for reviewing and overseeing the preparation of company federal, state, and international tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms, including return to provisions
• Responsible for maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process, including managing compliance with SOX requirements
• Assist the Director, Global Direct Tax Compliance in managing all aspects of internal and external audits, including required analysis and documentation.
• Oversee research and resolution of various tax notices and/or audits received by various tax jurisdictions
• Monitor and implement changes that result from legislative updates and changes in tax laws
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement of company tax procedures in preparation for global expansion
• Manage and mentor members of tax team to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement
• Assist VP of Finance and Director, Global Tax Compliance with any ad hoc research and projects including but not limited to R&D, transfer pricing, etc as needed. Qualifications/Knowledge:
  • 8-10 years tax accounting experience
    • Knowledge of ASC740
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel skills
      • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision Software
      • CPA preferred
      • Master's Degree in Taxation preferred
      • Experience with SAGE Fixed Asset Software preferred
      • Understanding of SAP general ledger Software preferred
      • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills
      • Excellent written and strong oral communication skills
      • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance, and procedures for corporations
      • Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements
      • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements
      • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members
      • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a focus on displaying Novocure's core values of Drive, Innovation, Focus, Courage, Trust and Empathy
      • Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with various team within the Organization
