You will manage a team and oversee the month-end close, account reconciliation processes, maintain internal controls and support internal and external audit procedures. You will interact with different departments across the organization including all levels of leadership and report directly to the US Controller. You will have the opportunity to be part of an innovative accounting team that drives process improvement within the business and group and provides valuable insight through the interpretation of data. In addition, you will help develop accounting strategies by contributing accounting and financial information, analysis, and recommendations for strategic thinking and direction that are in line with business and organizational objectives.Job ResponsibilitiesSupervise and direct the preparation of Business Unit's financial statements.
--- Manage the accounting function by supervising daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities, month-end and year-end financial closing.
--- Provide leadership and opportunities for professional growth and development for the team.
--- Review the reasonableness of the businesses' financial results prior to month end financial closings.
--- Review general ledger accounts to ensure that activity complies with company policies and procedures and that balances are accurately stated.
--- Maintain appropriate input and support documents for operating statements and general ledger balances.
--- Be the key point of contact and build relationships with internal/external and client auditors -
--- Monitor internal control environment and propose enhancements, when applicable.
--- Ensure timely, accurate communication of relevant information to operating components and clients.
--- Identify process improvements within the team, focused on efficiencies and risk-based review
--- Create and monitor key performance indicators to determine what success looks like
--- Conduct special accounting projects as needed to support the accounting organizationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
--- CPA preferred
--- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience with big 4 or public accounting experience preferred
--- Ability to manage and motivate the team through an evolving environment.
--- Internal control experience preferred
--- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work with various levels of leadership and to influence others without formal authority.
--- Strong analytical abilities and organizational skills are essential to success in this position.
