Discover more about us at www.amerihealthcaritas.com.Reporting to the VP, Pop Health Strategy and Planning, The Corp Director, Pop Health Strategy and Planning is responsible for leading the three key processes on behalf of the Pop Health team: ensuring alignment of Pop Health Strategy with Corporate Strategy, (2) Enterprise Business Planning, and (3) Major Investment Portfolio submissions and monitoring.The Corp Director will support these processes serving as proxy for the VP in the following areas:

  • Develop strategies to ensure Population Health executes the strategic capability roadmap, aligning all business plans, MIPs and departmental goals are aligned
  • Collaborate with Pop Health leaders, key stakeholders, enterprise Optimization Office, Finance and Enterprise Business Planning on ongoing business and financial activities, annual business planning cycle and designated projects.
  • Supporting Population Health monthly business reviews, regular reporting on projects, key metrics, open issues and barriers to completion for population health departmental KPIs
  • Acts as a liaison to operating entity and staff group organizations to resolve problems and ensure successful implementation of functional initiatives and related projects.
  • Support efforts to advance care management and population health capabilities while managing associated costs to ensure end-to-end financial contributions achieve goals, reduce overall total cost of care and improves health, wellbeing and life outcomes of members.
  • Monitor Pop Health market trends; Research, propose recommendations for and develop and manage business plans supporting Pop Health competitive differentiation strategies. analyze implication on our business and avail appropriate leaders.
  • Monitor value capture of all strategic initiatives as defined at project intake specifically HVOs and EO opportunities
  • Work on special projects as they arise engaging the ops analyst and others
  • Prepare materials for executive level stakeholders for MBRs, EC meetings, and other executive meetings relevant to business plans, MIPs EO and special projects
  • Oversee strategic communications and change management across pop health.Education/ Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred.
    • 5 to 10 years corporate strategy experience either at a management consulting firm or within a corporate development or corporate strategy department.
    • Health care industry experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methodologies and processes for strategic planning, business planning, and competitive intelligence.
    • Proven track record leading multiple successful strategic planning efforts in a comparably complex environment.
    • Strong track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, and presentation skills.
    • Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, and the ability to engage, challenge, and influence one's thinking to effect change throughout the organization.
    • Strong analytic and intellectual abilities with an entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
