Job Description:
This position is responsible for the identification, evaluation,
development and support of the implementation of new businesses
serving to enhance the overall effectiveness and fiscal viability
of Jefferson Health. This role will assist in the creation,
development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies. The
Director of Business Analysis will also provide direction and
guidance to Jefferson Health leadership in developing sound
strategies in the business planning process . Essential
Functions
- Continues to evolve the business planning function to support
the vision, mission and core strategies of the enterprise. Further
refines and develops the business planning process beginning with
identification of new opportunities spanning through Board approval
and providing counsel and guidance to operations during the
implementation phase.
- Identifies, explores and analyzes potential
alliances/partnerships with retail and non-retail businesses,
corporations, physician groups and others including opportunities
for diversification. -
- Leads and manages the planning and launch of new business
projects, drawing upon and orchestrating the support of strategy,
facilities, finance, IS&T, HR, marketing and operations
resources. Organizes and facilitates project teams throughout the
process of conducting complex analysis, strategy development and
strategy execution.
- Initiates and maintains relationships with potential and
existing retail partners in order to preserve the Jefferson Health
brand, ensure delivery of the brand promise in affiliated products
and services and to identify opportunities for expanding services
in the retail venue.
- Identifies and engages external consultants in business
development projects when appropriate. Negotiates contracts with
and provides direction to external consultants, managing their work
product and deliverables. -
- Monitors operational, quality, and financial outcomes of newly
implemented business projects to provide continuity and ensure
project success.
- Assist in redesigning the business development function to
streamline the process, providing guidance and transparency to
senior management by developing metrics and reports to ensure
projects are on track and on budget. Educational / Training
Requirements -Master's degree in business or healthcare
administration is preferred. Years of experience - -Seven (7) years
of experience in strategy, planning, finance, business development,
preferably applicable to a healthcare environment. Experience

- Experience in managing work teams who have completed complex
analytical and strategic projects, along with leading projects that
require consensus and continuous interaction with senior
leaders.
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to advance or sell ideas to
the organization.
- Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry.
