Primary ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Vice President, Associate General Counsel, provides legal and business support by (i) preparing, negotiating and managing of a wide spectrum of commercial agreements and non-disclosure agreements, and (ii) providing cross-functional team support during commercial negotiations. -This is an ideal role for legal/contract management professional looking to negotiate and draft a broad variety of commercial contracts and work closely with the Legal Department and North American business leaders.

• Supports internal clients, namely Axaltas North American commercial teams, by independently reviewing, drafting, and negotiating standard and non-standard contracts, vendor and supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements and distribution, sales, and incentive agreements.
• Acts as a point of contact between Axaltas Legal Department and the sales teams, managing incoming requests related to customer contracts, and ensuring that all legal and contractual matters are addressed efficiently and promptly.
• Ensures contract review, approval and execution in accordance with corporate and/or business guidelines and Axaltas policies.
• Assists Axaltas Legal Department in assessing risks and recommending solutions to certain matters.
• Oversee contract template development and management activities.
• Conduct training on contract templates and other miscellaneous topics, as required.
• Performs other projects and supports Legal Department initiatives, including supporting implementation of data privacy programs.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvements and helps to ensure compliance with Axaltas policies and practices.Minimum Requirements
  • Requires at least 6-8 years of legal/contract management professional experience with an expertise in commercial transactions and negotiation strategies and techniques. -
  • Bachelors degree required; CCCM or CPCM certification a plus.
  • Data privacy experience a plus.

    • Effective verbal and written communications and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple complex projects with limited supervision in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
    • Business acumen with excellent ability to anticipate, analyze and solve problems.
