You will gain invaluable experience in a position that offers significant responsibility and interaction with business partners as well as considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a growing organization.Candidates should possess high degree of analytical capacity, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to support the Sr. Director, Finance - Selling & Analytics.The position requires the ability to accurately source and analyze complex data sets in order to identify key sales trends and communicate insights to business leaders across the organization.The candidate should feel comfortable dealing with complex and ambiguous situations.Job Responsibilities:

  • In-depth analysis of store level sales data to unlock key insights and improve top line sales productivity
  • Ownership of monthly sales planning process, including the creation of store level sales plans by day, and driving executive level alignment on overall chain targets
  • Managing chainwide sales forecast process for Five Below via financial modeling, scenario analysis, and historical benchmarking
  • Creating dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to understand sales trends and surface insights with different business partners
  • Ad-hoc sales analysis; examples include exploring new store sales performance, tracking real estate driven cannibalization, and benchmarking hourly sales results over time
  • Creation of exhibits and commentary to explain sales results to senior management and Board of DirectorsQualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting preferred but not required
    • 7+ years consulting or financial/business/data analyst experience; retail background preferred
    • Proven ability to drive projects from inception to deployment
    • Proven ability to work cross functionally across multiple groups and drive consensus among leadership
    • Unrelenting attention to detail and proven commitment to accuracy
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to articulate results of analysis into easy to understand business terms
    • Required: - Expert spreadsheet and data modeling skills
    • Required: - Experience managing and querying large datasets
