Job SummaryServe as an Account Manager within the Marketing and Public Relations department handling clients as assigned across the enterprise that includes a hospital, 50-location Care Network, Research Institute and charitable Foundation. Manage projects on time, on budget and consistent with creative and communications strategy. Establish deep subject matter expertise and client knowledge. Anticipate and meet client communication needs, demonstrating understanding of target audiences, competition and complementary outreach. Ensure seamless project coordination and execution in partnership with members of the Marketing and PR team and other related functions (Physician Referral Services, Foundation, Payor Relations) This role may also provide support for key departmental and institutional initiatives as needed and assigned.Job ResponsibilitiesAccount Management & Marketing Activity

  • Act as the primary gatekeeper for client communication and requests
  • Provide prompt and courteous response to client requests, helping the department maintain its reputation as a customer service, solutions-oriented resource
  • Work proactively with clients and within the Marketing/PR/Web teams to define strategic goals and ensure that each project reflects and strengthens the CHOP brand
  • Serve as the marketing strategist and subject matter expert on assigned client areas
  • Possess strong time management skills, ability to manage deliverables across all marketing channels - traditional and digital-and ability to manage and prioritize multiple client responsibilities
  • Track and communicate competitive analysis for assigned client areas
  • Take summary and direction for projects including agreed upon goals, budgets, due dates, production specifications and creative direction, and develop a comprehensive work order and, where appropriate, a creative brief to initiate each project. If needed, conduct independent research to augment client-provided content
  • Establish and lead regular meetings to bring teams and clients together to ensure that project goals and expectations are being met
  • Lead and manage every phase of assigned projects ensuring that every team member is executing responsibilities consistent with project plan, quickly resolving problems and obstacles and reporting barriers or risks to supervisor(s)
    Department Operations & Workflow
    • Help to continually optimize workflow, utilizing Workamajig and ad hoc systems (as necessary) to maintain air-tight control of all jobs and their corresponding budgets.
    • Provide financial and other reports to clients, utilizing the Workamajig system.
    • Work with production to ensure timely and accurate processing of client invoices. -Required Education and ExperienceRequired Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications/ Marketing/ Advertising or equivalent. -Required Experience: At least four (4) years of experience in brand communications or marketingPreferred Education, Experience & Cert/LicPreferred Experience: Prior advertising agency experienceAdditional Technical RequirementsProficiency in Word, Excel and Powerpoint. To carry out its mission, it is of critical importance for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) to keep our patients, families and workforce safe and healthy and to support the health of our global community. In keeping with this, CHOP has mandated all workforce members on site at any CHOP location for any portion of their time be vaccinated for COVID-19 as a condition of employment. This mandate also applies to workforce members performing work for CHOP at non-CHOP locations. Additionally, all workforce members based in or regularly scheduled to work at any New Jersey location are mandated to be both vaccinated and boosted for COVID-19, with booster timing consistent with applicable guidelines. The CHOP COVID-19 vaccine mandate is in alignment with applicable local, state and federal mandates. CHOP also requires all workforce members who work in patient care buildings or who provide patient care to receive an annual influenza vaccine. Employees may request exemption consideration for CHOP vaccine requirements for valid religious and medical reasons. Please note start dates may be delayed until candidates are fully immunized or valid exemption requests are reviewed. In addition, candidates other than those in positions with regularly scheduled hours in New Jersey, must attest to not using tobacco products.
