Job Description - MANAGER, PRE-CERTIFICATION (222885) Job Description MANAGER, PRE-CERTIFICATION - ( 222885 ) Description Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pre-certification department. Directs the daily activities of the pre-certification staff in support of the patient access pre-certification revenue cycle function. Reviews reports, statistical summaries, time studies and quality control audits using current available technology, prepared by supervisors, in order to make appropriate operational decisions. Provides clinical expertise to supervisors and the staff as needed. Works closely with multiple hospital departments, as well as Fox Chase Revenue Cycle Leadership. Focuses closely on account financial security and payer denial avoidance.

Education
Bachelors Degree (Required)
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience
3 Years experience in a healthcare revenue cycle environment (Required)
3 Years experience in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare environment. (Required)
General Experience with and knowledge of insurance requirements, pre-certification/referral, insurance verification and 3rd party billing. (Required)
3 Years experience in Utilization or Pre-certification, preferably in an oncology setting (Preferred)
