The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations provides basic primary medical care to students and manages clinical operations at all campus sites. They assure that adequate, safe, and timely nursing and provider services are made available to all students. All Physicians, CRNPs, Nurse Manager and other clinical staff report to him/her. The Assistant Director for Clinical Operations participates in policy making, program planning, and collaborates with the Senior Director, Nurse Manager and the Associate Director for Administration in overall departmental administration. They assume overall responsibility for the clinical quality improvement, in-service and continuing education of the staff. FUNCTION/DUTY PERCENT OF TIME 1. Administration 40% 2. Providing Direct Patient care 60% Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Education & Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certified or board eligible in family medicine, internal medicine, or emergency medicine. If board-eligible, must pass boards within two years of hire. Experience in college health and or student health population. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills & Abilities: *Ability to apply scientific principles to problem solving, planning, as well as providing and evaluating physician care. *Ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives while under stress of demanding work schedule. *Strong interpersonal and communication skills, to include excellent listening skills. *Must maintain a positive and objective "customer service" approach and attitude. *Demonstrated counseling skills in evaluating patients. *Ability to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS Office. *Ability to travel as needed between University campuses.This position requires a background check.Temple University values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity for all persons regardless of age, color, disability, ethnicity, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, veteran status or any other status protected by law.In accordance with the City of Philadelphia's mandate, all Temple University students, faculty, staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by October 15, 2021, unless they have a medical or religious exemption approved by the university.
