Job Description:
: The Chief Growth Officer is responsible for leading Community
Behavioral Health in developing and implementing strategies that
promote viability and success in the changing health care
environment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader who will
focus on driving new growth opportunities, building innovation
capabilities, and transforming and strengthening our partnerships
to ensure long-term sustainability. Essential Functions :
- Drives new growth and development opportunities by identifying
interim and longer-term strategies to help CBH survive and thrive
within a changing managed care environment.
- Works closely with the Officer's team to create the strategy
and roadmap aligned with strategic goals and growth
priorities.
- Promotes CBH's business development agenda, influencing and
garnering support from across the organization and external
stakeholders.
- Establishes CBH as a recognized leader and national brand.
Raising awareness of the organization and its primary goals through
stakeholder planning and outreach efforts.
- Ensures that CBH's unique value is understood, differentiated,
and contributes to long-term relationships and collaborations.
- Compiles and analyzes data to demonstrate growth and
profitability of new business lines.
- Works closely with the executive team to ensure that all work
supports the direction of the business goals and priorities.
- Builds and grows innovation capabilities by acting as the
innovation champion for the entire organization. Hosting
presentation and innovation sessions. The CGO will ensure that CBH
has:
- A clear busines development strategy that is understood and
endorsed by key stakeholders, and a roadmap to drive investment and
growth. Position Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree in business administration,
healthcare administration, public administration or similar
degree.
- Relevant Work Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of executive
level healthcare management experience, preferably in a managed
care organization, commercial insurance, or public behavioral
health care service delivery system. Candidates must have
demonstrated leadership abilities and success in developing and/or
leading strategic projects, such as innovative programs or
developing additional business lines. Experience leading an
organization through change and transformations is preferable.
- Prior experience working in organizational transformations and
ability to lead and direct change initiatives and innovative
programming
- Skills
- Thorough understanding of:
- Health insurance-principles, policies, and licensing;
- Managed care functions-member services, care
management/utilization management, network management, quality
improvement and management
- Medicaid and other healthcare financing
- Ability to engage, communicate, and interact effectively with
external and internal executive level staff and other staff within
organizations
- Thorough understanding of healthcare operations and practices,
including innovative and evidence-based practices and financing
strategies
- Knowledge of healthcare policies and trends at the federal,
state, and local levels, including challenges and opportunities
