As the Director of NextGen, you'll have the exciting opportunity to lead the planning, strategizing and development of fundraising initiatives for the 25-45 year old donor base. You will engage with donors and community members, furthering the mission of the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, and leveraging your skills to build strong, meaningful, and lasting relationships with donors.

The mission of NextGen is to attract, educate and engage Jewish leaders and philanthropists while providing a framework of programs, volunteering, fundraising and travel to inspire young adults to consider their participation in the Jewish Community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the financial resource development goals and objectives for the NextGen Affinity
Manage NextGen Governance structure to empower the Board and volunteer leadership to serve as ambassadors to the Jewish Federation and execute goals and objectives
Responsible for a portfolio of NextGen major gift donors and prospects and goals and metrics associated within the larger campaign structure
Create and implement solicitation, stewardship and cultivation goals signature giving levels within NextGen to include Ben Gurion Society ($1,000) and Levin Society ($2500)
Oversee National Young Leadership Cabinet and Philadelphia Cabinet Alumni, the premier leadership development arm of NextGen
Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure that donors and prospects between 25-45 yrs old are identified, stewarded and solicited
Create and execute an annual campaign plan to include programs, events and fundraising goals
Serve as lead staff on NextGen group travel programs both domestic and international
Supervise NextGen Development Officer


Minimum of 5 years of Fundraising experience
Experience with development software
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment that requires managing multiple activities and priorities
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
Ability to interact comfortably, tactfully, and effectively with internal and external constituencies
High level of maturity and personal integrity and ability to understand, develop, and sustain relationships with donors, colleagues, and senior management
Demonstrated creative thinker who has the ability to collaborate with Development Staff and to strategize plans to retain and engage donors.
Familiarity with Jewish Traditions
Basic knowledge of Philadelphia Jewish Community preferred.
Ability to work evenings, occasional weekends and Shabbat Dinners.
