SUMMARY: The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for internal and external financial reporting, operational reporting and certain corporate accounting functions. The Corporate Accounting Manager will manage the internal financial reporting process, supervise the development accounting function, reconcile certain accounts, participate in the external reporting process and assist on special projects as directed by the Corporate Controller, CFO and senior management.RESPONSIBILITIES: -- - Responsible for preparing the quarterly/annual supplemental and audit committee reports.-- - Responsible for preparing the quarterly/annual Statement of Cash Flow, Rollforward of Equity and Weighted Average Share and OP Unit Calculation.-- - Responsible for preparing the entry for all long-term incentive compensation plans and developing the annual Equity Compensation footnote.-- - Responsible for review and preparation of SEC filings prepare and maintain documentation to support all amounts included in the filings.-- - Complete the quarterly and annual GAAP and SEC disclosure checklists.-- - Serve as a liaison and develop/provide workpapers to internal and external auditors for requests during the annual audit and quarterly reviews.-- - Assist in the G&A budgeting and reforecasting process working with department heads to validate rosters and compile other G&A projections on a regular basis.-- - Develop year end goodwill and land held for development impairment calculations and document conclusions.-- - Compile all the necessary documentation for quarterly debt covenant reporting.-- - Manage a range of month end close entries (prepaids, general accruals, shares, etc.) and prepare reconciliations for certain accounts.-- - Distribute monthly flash reports and serve as a point person for ad-hoc financial reporting requests.-- - Assist in the modifications/upgrades to existing financial reporting software.-- - Handle interdepartmental inquiries.-- - Ensure SOX compliance for the corporate accounting, consolidation and financial reporting functions.QUALIFICATIONS: -- - BA/BS undergraduate accounting degree required. CPA preferred.-- - 5-10 years of combined public and corporate accounting experience.-- - Knowledge of real estate industry accounting and reporting issues.-- - Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements.-- - Enthusiastic with strong communication skills and a team player.-- - Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.-- - Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.-- - Highly-organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities.-- - Strong financial reporting and knowledge of internal controls.-- - Advanced proficiency in Excel, including reference formulas, pivot tables, and other higher level financial and statistical formulas.-- - Exposure to and experience with (or willingness to learn) JD Edwards, and Business Intelligence platforms like Cognos, and MS Power BIJob Type: Full-timePay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per yearExperience:relevant: 7 years (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Work Location:One locationThis Company Describes Its Culture as:Innovative -- innovative and risk-takingDetail-oriented -- quality and precision-focusedOutcome-oriented -- results-focused with strong performance culture
