JOB OPPORTUNITY - Industrial Safety Director - Part TimeBanks Industrial Group, a family-first company, is seeking a part-time (20-25 hours/week) Industrial Safety Director to develop, coordinate, and manage policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations. This position will visit diverse industrial settings such as chemical plants, refineries, power plants, and manufacturing facilities.A Successful Candidate Would Be Responsible For The Following* Collaborating with Operations Manager to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.* Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.* Ensuring completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.* Conducting safety inspections and on-site audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations.* Identifying opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.* Conducting employee training on applicable safety standards.* Reviewing safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates.* Reviewing accident and incident reports.* Performing other related duties as assigned.Benefits For Part Time Employees Include* 6 paid holidays throughout the year, additional paid vacation, plus 5 sick/personal days* Matching 401(k) retirement plan* Performance and profit-based bonuses for all team membersThe Candidate Must Have The Following Skills And Aptitude* Extensive knowledge of industrial environments, current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.* Ability to conduct training.* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.* At least five years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial environment required.* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* COSS (Certified Occupational Safety Specialist), COSM (Certified Occupational Safety Manager), CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician) preferred.* Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health, or related field preferred.* Must be able to pass drug and alcohol random testing* Driver's license and driver experience is required with clean driving record* Applicant must be 18 years of age or older* Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC) card is a plusPhysical Demands And Abilities* Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.* Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.* Ability to travel throughout facilities as required to conduct safety inspections.* Occasionally required to sit and climb or balanceThis position will be part time and pay will be commensurate with skill level and experience.An exceptional candidate possesses good mechanical aptitude and demonstrates the work ethic required to learn process and procedures.
