Job_Summary The Assistant Director/Project Manager is a key member of the Communications & Marketing department partnering with many, if not all, constituent groups within the Enrollment Management & Student Success division. These offices include, but are not limited to, Admissions (First-Year, Transfer, International, and Graduate), Student Life, the Steinbright Career Development Center, Housing and Residence Life, Event and Visitor Relations, International Student and Scholar Services, Drexel Central (Financial Aid, Bursar, Registrar, Advising), Athletics, Academic Information Systems, and Enrollment Operations and Analytics. The position will also work closely with the individual schools and colleges, University Communications, and other additional administrative departments around the University. The role is responsible for handling project timelines, traffic, feedback, and approvals; print vendor management; supporting the Strategy team by working within communication plans; and supporting the Senior Project Manager with office processes. Responsibilities also include student worker supervision, photo and commercial/video shoot development, large University partnerships and initiatives such as national advertising campaigns and Commencement; and other delegated tasks as assigned. In addition, they will support the creative and web teams by executing simple content and/or design edits, reviewing and creating digital and print specifications, and ensuring digital and print production quality control according to industry standards. This role may include updating pre-existing files from designers, preparing artwork for printing, and other related tasks. The Assistant Director/Project Manager will manage strategic partners and vendors, set and manage internal and external meetings, and provide preliminary agendas and post-mortem summary reports for all assignments. The Assistant Director/Project Manager will be supported by work-study students, co-op positions, and strategic partner/vendor support. Basic office manager duties are also required. Essential_Functions * Interact on a daily-basis with EMSS divisional team leaders and academic colleagues within the institution to provide timely delivery of completed projects. Day-to-day includes project trafficking, securing and processing feedback and approvals, organizing content changes, partnering with Strategy team, and acting as overall knowledge base for project assignments. * Work with Assistant Vice President of Communications and Marketing and the Creative Director to ensure deliverables are met, and the overall management of strategic and production vendors. * Prepare and manage key office documentation such as estimates, status reports, project timelines, Marketing Communication Requests, Job Jacket documentation and archiving, and process guidelines. * Work with Senior Project Manager and Strategy team to develop project timelines and drive oversight of key project deliverables to meet project milestones. * Collaborate with creative staff to manage strategic partners and production vendors (print/web, etc.), write and traffic specs, and manage project schedules. * Support the creative staff by executing simple creative edits as well as reviewing and creating digital and print specifications ensuring digital and print production quality control according to industry standards. * Recommend and implement new tracking systems that allow tracking projects from beginning to end and deliver on-time materials. * Provide best practice process and production guidelines/support for colleagues via online and print/mail efforts in order to set and maintain expectations. * Supervise and manage work-study students and co-ops. * Support creative team in social media, and content development projects. * Required_Qualifications * Bachelor s Degree * Minimum of 2 years experience * Preferred_Qualifications * Project management in a creative/communications field required. * Working knowledge of print and digital production process required. * Interactive project management experience preferred. * Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required. * Experience with Microsoft SharePoint preferred. * Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred. * Experience with Content Management Systems and/or CRMs a plus. * Location University City Additional_Information This position is classified as Exempt with a salary grade of J.
