We are seeking a systems engineer who will play a key role in a team of experts seeking to develop and implement transformational systems and technologies on Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM). This role will have you work as a strategic and project lead, consolidating potentials toward a long-term vision and next-step actions, coordinating activities for initial adoption and sustainment of ___, while networking and supporting similar and related efforts across multiple programs. Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. In this role, you can be expected to: • Lead small to moderate efforts to support testing and adoption of transformational systems and technology in secure environments, such as: - Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality - Digital Twin and AI/ML Capabilities - Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Modernization - Generative Design and Additive Manufacturing - Model Based Enterprise with systems, physical world, and simulation models - Modernized Classified Infrastructure and capabilities • Develop and establish system architecture and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) • Seek out, define, establish and maintain digital engineering capability requirements • Facilitate studies and system trades for enhanced digital engineering capabilities • Support maintenance of Jira projects and Confluence Spaces owned by the team and coordinate Agile planning and execution for team projects • Coordinating Digital Transformation Showcases and technical meetings with LM and the customer partners • Lead coordination and support development of Dashboards for metrics tracking as needed Basic Qualifications • Experience with JIRA and Confluence. • Experience with creating digital dashboards (i.e., Tableau, Power BI, Jira, etc.) • Understanding of the functionality and objectives of MBE, MBSE, Digital Engineering • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Desired skills • Agile Practitioner (Scrum Master, Product Owner/Product Manager, etc.) • Requirements definition (i.e., Concept of Operations (CONOPs), requirements document, interface requirement drawings/documents, etc. • Presentations to high levels of leadership • Experience implementing new digital engineering processes and/or capabilities • Familiarity or experience with Digital twin capabilities • Familiarity or experience with deployment of new applications • familiarity or experience with ROI and/or cost avoidance estimation, Risk and Opportunity evaluation and weighting • Familiarity with working in DoD secure areas and on classified networks • FBM Program Knowledge and experience working with US Navy • Experience with leveraging AI capabilities • Participation in Structured Improvement Activities (SIA), KAIZEN events, or similar continuous improvement events • Performed work as a "change agent" able to facilitate both technical and cultural adoption of new processes, tools, and approaches • Experience with outreach, networking with disparate stakeholders, and team-oriented efforts • Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment • Active Top Secret clearance Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer. Ability to work remotely Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedule Information Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Security Clearance Information This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
