Summary: Sun Pharma is seeking a dynamic Manager of Operational
Excellence to lead impactful improvement initiatives across our
manufacturing sites. This role is pivotal in driving operational
efficiency, enhancing productivity, and fostering a culture of
continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional
teams and senior leadership to implement Lean Six Sigma, TPM, and
other strategic methodologies that elevate performance and deliver
measurable results. Key Responsibilities: Operational Excellence &
Continuous Improvement Identify and resolve system integration
issues using scientific resource modeling. Lead Lean Six Sigma,
TPM, and continuous improvement projects to optimize operations.
Monitor project execution, remove barriers, and ensure timely
delivery of outcomes. Develop financial justifications for OE
projects, manage budgets, and track departmental spend. Standardize
labor benchmarks across sites and identify improvement
opportunities. Support site teams in reducing labor hour gaps and
improving bottleneck operations. Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM)
and implement cycle time reduction strategies. Establish and
enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics. Ensure
strict adherence to Sun Pharma’s EHS policies and procedures.
Strategic Engagement & Leadership Support Collaborate with site
leadership to address gaps in Quality, Cost, Productivity, and
Delivery. Publish monthly OE performance reports, including OEE and
plant metrics. Facilitate RCA sessions, process mapping, and
statistical analysis. Deliver LSS/TPM training to production teams
and promote best practice sharing across sites. Evaluate manpower
standards and coordinate reduction plans with department heads.
Lead Capex/Opex reviews and support QMS improvement initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional efforts for successful new product
launches. Support additional improvement initiatives as assigned by
leadership. Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Office and
manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels. Physical
activity includes standing, walking, bending, lifting (up to 50
lbs), and wearing PPE such as respirators, safety glasses, and
safety shoes. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in
Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field (Master’s
preferred) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in process or
continuous improvement, preferably in pharmaceutical formulations.
Proven track record in project management and application of Lean
Six Sigma and shop floor management techniques. The
presently-anticipated base compensation pay range for this position
is $92,500 to $115,500. Actual base compensation may vary based on
a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical
location and experience. In addition, this position is part of the
Annual Performance Bonus Plan, and may be eligible for the Long
Term Incentive Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in
