Are you an expert in large-scale machining? We are seeking a skilled Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) Operator to join our team in Palmyra. This is a specialized role for a machinist who excels at handling heavy-duty components and high-precision turning. If you have the experience to manage large workpieces and the technical skill to maintain tight tolerances, we want to talk to you. Compensation & Schedule Pay: $26.00 per hour and up (Starting rate based on your level of experience). Shift: 1st Shift — Enjoy a steady daytime schedule with your evenings free. Location: Palmyra, PA. Core Responsibilities Setup & Operation: Perform complex setups and operate CNC Vertical Turret Lathes to machine large-diameter parts. Heavy Component Handling: Safely load and secure large castings or forgings using overhead cranes and specialized rigging. Precision Machining: Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T to ensure parts meet exact specifications. Quality Inspection: Use large-scale precision tools (ID/OD micrometers, bore gauges) to verify dimensions. Tooling & Maintenance: Select appropriate carbide tooling, monitor tool wear, and perform offsets as needed. What We’re Looking For Experience: Proven track record specifically operating Vertical Turret Lathes . Technical Literacy: Ability to read and navigate G-code and interpret technical drawings. Crane/Rigging Proficiency: Experience safely moving large, heavy workpieces is essential. Attention to Detail: A commitment to accuracy—getting it right the first time is our priority.
