Overview









The Engineering Leadership Program (ELP) is a rotation program designed to cultivate our next generation of technical leaders and individual contributors. Through the program the individual will gain a broad picture of the Edmund Optics (EO) culture, customers, and capabilities. This individual will move through several departments working side-by-side with our optical designers, sales engineers, manufacturing engineers, project managers, etc. This position is ideally suited to the motivated engineer/scientist who wants to experience a wide range of engineering and business disciplines and tackle challenges strategic to the corporation.













Responsibilities









Engage with leaders throughout the company to better understand how EO operates and gain awareness of ongoing projects Assist EO customers with application-specific technical solutionsRecognize and develop significant sales opportunities with the Sales team, possibly through on-site customer visitsResearch, define, and test catalog products with the Product Development teamSpecify and manage catalog and custom product life cycle with the Project Management teamDesign optical products and optomechanical systems with the Design teamDevelop product-specific demonstrations for industry trade shows with the Marketing teamWrite technical articles for the website and industry trade journalsDefine and teach internal training seminarsComply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulationsOther duties as assigned

US Citizenship or US Permanent Resident (green card) preferredExcellent telephone, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organization skills - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Education/Experience: B.S.
