Must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users. Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.This position generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts for Hunter Spring Products by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned:Sales and Customer SupportSupport sales process from inquiry to quotation and through product release. Provide timely product and technical information to Customer Service team and to existing and potential customers.Enter and maintain sales leads/opportunities in Salesforce. Estimate production times, labor requirements, and related costs to determine sales price for custom products.Provide guidance and recommendations for management review of sales opportunities with substantial size and value to the company.Serves as technical product expert and primary account representative during customer site visits and design reviews.Business DevelopmentVisits to existing customers to maintain current and elicit new business through introducing prototypes, soliciting and receiving feedback, exploring adjacent business opportunities.Gain deeper penetration of existing accounts and private label opportunities.Formulate sales strategy, with Sales and Marketing, to expand market for existing and new products/applications developed for customersDesign EngineeringCreate and maintain engineering drawings, structuring of items, bills of material and routings.Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications.Either through own design or with designs of other engineers, work with Operations to ensure Design for Manufacturability is achieved. Position RequirementsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required3-5 years' experience in mechanical or electromechanical design. 3-D CAD software is required (preferably SolidWorks).Excellent communication skills, written and oral, as well as exceptional organizational skills.Strong relationship builder.Familiarity with machining, fabricating, injection molding and assembly. Candidate will need to apply knowledge in these areas to make design decisions and to determine manufacturability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP software would be beneficial (preferably Oracle).Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, engineering staff, floor personnel and cross-functional team members to implement plans and recommendations.Experience in working with NRTLs (UL, Intertek, CSA) is a plus.Intermittent travel may be required.Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.#CareForTomorrowAt AMETEK STC we believe in building a sustainable future for our customers, colleagues, suppliers, and the communities in which we operate.
