Responsibilities
Noblis MSD's mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions' to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings.
Noblis MSD is seeking an Engineer with a background in submarine systems to support submarine auxiliary/machinery systems. Roles and responsibilities may include:

• 
  
• 
  Support testing and troubleshooting efforts (lab-based and shipboard) for auxiliary machinery control systems (propulsion controls, indicator drive units, hotwell controls).
  
  
• 
  Develop, review, update, and execute test plans/procedures.
  
  
• 
  Evaluate technical information received from the Fleet (Fleet messages, advisories, etc.).
  
  
• 
  Develop, review, update technical documentation.
  
  
• 
  Provide engineering support for design, repair, installation, modification, maintenance, and operation of systems.
  
  
• 
  Perform processing and dissemination of Naval Messages.
  
  
• 
  Propose changes to improve reliability, maintainability, and sustainability of submarine systems.
  
  
  This will be a hybrid position with the ability to work from home part of the time.
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • 
    Bachelors degree and 3 years of experience or HS Diploma and six (6) years of experience
    
    
  • 
    Prior Navy Nuclear training required
    
    
  • 
    Ability to troubleshoot challenging technical issues
    
    
  • 
    Ability to interpret technical information and documentation.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent organizational skills.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    
    
  • 
    DoD Secret clearance required, or ability to obtain one.
    
    
  •

    Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.
