Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Highway Design Engineer to be based in the Greater Philadelphia Area. AECOM has offices in Philadelphia and Conshohocken, PA as well as Newark, DE.

In this role, you will work as part of a team on medium to large scale transportation projects in the Greater Pennsylvania Area. A Highway Design Engineer typically performs design tasks and begins to assist less experienced engineers in tasks in which they have already shown proficiency.

I-95 Reconstruction in Philadelphia, PA

US-22 Reconstruction in Allentown, PA

I-81 Reconstruction in Scranton, PA

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, signing, and pavement markings

Utility coordination support

Computer Aided Design production

Assisting less experienced staff

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS Civil Engineering or similar + 2 years of experience in support of transportation design or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

FE / EIT Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike design familiarity

MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software familiarity

OpenRoads and/or Civil3D software familiarity

SignCAD or GuideSign software familiarity

AutoTurn software familiarity

Experience utilizing spreadsheet, word processing and other standard office software

Experience with effective time management and task prioritization

Experience working productively in a team environment
