Job Description:
Our large Pharmaceutical Client in Spring House, PA is currently
seeking an entry-levevl Automation Engineer to join their growing
team. This individual will be supporting and working hand in hand
with their second shift team which is ideally from 12-8pm, but the
hours can be flexible based off the individual's needs. Training is
provided for this role and there is a lot of opportunity for growth
on this team! Responsibilities Include:
- Provide day-to-day operational and troubleshooting support of
laboratory automation and automated assays to support Lead
Evaluation and Compound Profiling
- Working hand in hand with Scientists and other teams
- Assist with hardware and software fault diagnosis and perform
hands-on troubleshooting, repairs and calibrations for laboratory
automation, computer systems, and stand-alone instruments
- Coordinate requests between biologists, engineers and
information technology staff and ownership for programming,
calibration, and troubleshooting offline equipment used for LE and
CP activities
- Identifying and resolving system conflicts that resulted in the
automation stall then recover active stalled automation runs
- Assist with transition of manual workflows onto automated assay
systems and optimize existing automated processes and platforms to
improve efficiency, throughput, robustness and quality
- Execute identified process optimization solutions to streamline
end-to-end processes and identify and address bottlenecksSchedule:
Monday-FridaySecond Shift Hours: 12-8pm (but can be
flexible!)Duration: Multiyear contract - After 1 year on contract,
the individual will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent
role or have their contract renewed for another year.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Prior automation or related experience
