Job Description:
Global Senior Principal Project Engineer Summary:Our client, a
global pharmaceutical company, is looking for a Senior Principal
Project Engineer to oversee their capital projects and facility
expansions at various sites. The engineer will be primarily
responsible for equipment engineering for large capital projects
with aseptic pharma manufacturing facility sites, with an emphasis
on capital projects delivered on time and within budget. This
position interfaces with the manufacturing plants and other
departments and functions within the network. The breadth of
support includes oversight, participation, and development of
equipment engineering teams located at our manufacturing facilities
and on major capital projects. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: --- Manage several projects simultaneously.
Capital management expertise includes managing the entire project
lifecycle. CAPEX development and Funding Approval (Project scope,
cost estimates, Options/Alternatives, timelines, and execution
strategies in alignment with company needs.) --- Project Scope;
User Requirements. Conceptual/Basis of Design (BOD)/Detail Design.
Permitting; Change Controls. Installation/Construction; Support
SAT's & FATs. Start-up & Commissioning. Validation; Training; SOPs;
Project Close Out & Turnover. --- As required conceptual scope
development will include evaluation of options. Ensures that
projects comply with related environment, health & safety, and cGMP
regulations. Also, maintain compliance with state and federal
codes. --- Build effective and collaborative relations with all
functional areas in the plant, global engineering, and local
agencies. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Assures that life cycle
cost analysis is implemented where needed. Supervisory
Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory
responsibilities.Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering. A minimum of fifteen (15)+ years of experience in a
pharmaceutical, or food, or OTC consumer industry in a role as

oral, or diagram form.Computer Skills: Knowledge of Internet
software; Manufacturing software; spreadsheet software, PowerPoint
software, and Word Processing software. Other Skills and Abilities:
--- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is a plus.
Understanding of Microsoft Office, CAD, Microsoft Project.
Knowledge of FDA cGMP's, Federal, State, and Local Environmental
regulations, standard operating procedures, QA/QC documentation,
equipment validation, equipment specifications, factory acceptance
testing, sight acceptance testing, equipment start-up, and
commissioning. --- Team Player and ability to manage
cross-functional teams. Ability to manage several capital projects
at a time. Ability to effectively prioritize and coordinate
functions and activities. Excellent project management skills.
